엄지발가락

끄트머리가 썩어 문드러진 엄지발가락

일상에서 벗어난 건 너련만

왜

발목이 울부짖느냐

종아리가 뒤틀어대느냐

 

의사는 말한다

잘라내자고

의사는 말한다 대퇴부에게

이참에 무르팍까지 잘라내자고

 

타협은 이루어지게 마련이다

쑥덕 쑥덕

썩둑 썩둑

 

엄지발가락은 말한다

순수했노라고

발목은 말한다

솔직했노라고

종아리는 말한다

마음이 여렸노라고

 

그리고

대퇴부는 말한다

최선을 다했노라고

 

타협은 이루어지게 마련이다

쑥덕 쑥덕

썩둑 썩둑

 

잘려 나간 놈들은

가마에 올려지고

아직 안 잘린 나는

그 가마를 메고 간다

big toe being rotten tip

it’s you became free yourself from daily life

but why

why is ankle crying?

why is calf struggling?

 

doctor says

let’s cut it off

doctor says with smile

to the femoral region

let’s cut off the location below the knee

at this chance

 

right, compromise is certain to be done

whispering whispering

chop chop

 

big toe says

was pure

ankle says

was frank

calf says

was tenderhearted

 

and

femoral region says

did his best

 

right, compromise is certain to be done

things which were cut off get into the palanquin

I who still not be cut off am carrying it
